The new inking system is a snap to maintain and prints showed no adverse effects when subjected to a hi-lighter pen and distilled water in the tests. Since the new ink dries faster there is also a marked improvement in duplex printing productivity over its predecessor. HP has told us that many government agencies will not purchase anything with a scanner or use WiFi networking for security purposes. That is the reasoning behind the Officejet 8000 Enterpise printer. With the Officejet 8100 ePrinter, WiFi and ePrint mobile printing can be disabled to address these concerns. On the other hand, these features make it more attractive to a wider range of users than the Officejet 8000 Enterprise.
